For Cyclists and Motorists

Required Courtesy:
  • If a ride starts at 7am, please be ready to ride at 7am. Also, allow time to sign the ride sheet
  • Be respectful to other riders and to others on the road
  • Be mindful of traffic when starting up, and yield to traffic
  • During rest stops or when regrouping, get completely off the road
  • Please inform the ride leader if someone is missing, as soon as possible

Gear:
  • Your bike must be in good working order
  • Helmets are required, and they must be worn properly
  • Make sure you have a spare tube, pump or CO2, and tools to change a tire
  • Make sure you have at least one bike water bottle, with your liquid of choice in it
  • Make sure you dress correctly for the weather, or bring extra clothing with

Safety Rules:
  • On roads with no shoulders, single file please
  • Use hand signals and voice commands to communcate with other cyclists/cars
  • If someone yells "Car BacK", move over to the right, single file if necessary
  • Even though someone yells out an insection is clear, check for yourself, just in case
  • Never pass another cyclists on the right, unless you say "passing on the right"

Obey the State Laws in regards to biking, Including:
  • A complete stop at stop signs
  • Two riders abreast is permitted, unless conditions do not allow
  • Always ride to right of the road, unless conditions do not allow, or it's unsafe to do so
